A Rose for Mrs. Lilac is the third book concerning Betty Lilac, a Tarot Reader extraordinaire and an amateur sleuth. In this story we return to Caronsburg and meet once again with she and her friends, wacky and otherwise. It is a friend, Annabelle Wilkins, who introduces Mrs. Lilac to the mystery of The Rose Bouquet, a large flea market at the edge of town. Annabelle's nephew Eugene, recently released from prison, is employed there and is being targeted as a thief and the perpetrator of the many strange happenings at the place. Attempting to help her friend, Mrs. Lilac finds herself in the middle of a situation that not only affects her health, but one that threatens her life.
