I’ve had them a year and purchased them for occasional wear for kayaking trips or visits to the lake. They are comfortable and the elastic drawstring makes them easy to adjust how snug you want them on your feet.On a recent beach trip, they protected my feet from upturned broken seashells, hot sand, beached jellyfish (not that I routinely step on those, but still) and anything else one might find on a highly visited touristy beach. I could walk in and out of the water and not worry about my shoes slipping off. Being able to stroll up the scorching hot boardwalk with added cushion under my feet at a normal pace was an added bonus (not like the barefoot person who looks like they’re sprinting across hot coals to prove their worth to the tribe or the flip flop person who loses one shoe on the way up). Just a quick rinse and the sand was gone. Best beach shoe I’ve owned so far.I just wanted a cheap-o water shoe to wear in my kayak, and these vastly outperformed my expectations. I haven't even taken them in my kayak yet, but just as a second thought, I tossed them in my bag to bring on an island vacation. Holy cow, they were almost the only shoes I wore all week! I wore them on the beach, I wore them on boats, I wore them to walk into town, I wore them while riding a bicycle, and then I proceeded to wear them for my entire day of airplane travel back home. I did not imagine they would be so comfortable. When I was choosing this pair, I waffled between buying shoes that had lots of holes in the bottom (good for water drainage, more likely to let in sand and stones) or few holes in the bottom (poor water drainage, less risk of stones). I chose to go with lots of holes for good drainage and I think I made the right call. I never had a problem with stones and there was only one time I had significant sand come in. Even then, the insole comes out easily so that everything can be shaken out or rinsed off. I didn't have any trouble with sand or stones getting stuck under the insoles. I did follow advice to buy a half a size smaller than my usual - usual is 8 and I bought 7.5. I thought they might still be a little large at first, but they were fine and I think 7 would have been too small.Bought these for a drunken float trip down the Niangua River and they were great. Possibly the best water shoes I’ve ever had! Easy to get on/off, comfortable, even on the rocks. Didn’t even wear socks for added cushion and I did not have sore feet after 3 days! No small rocks getting inside either which was amazing. Never had to sit down to rinse them out. I was a little worried about them slipping off because of the weight of the water and that they did not tie but I didn’t have that problem at all. They held up great too, I will be able to wear them again next year. Highly recommend!I purchased these water shoes for an upcoming cruise and beach excursion. Unexpectedly I had to use them to walk through some flooding. The shoes were completely wet (walked through flood water) and I walked over a mile. After reaching dry ground, they quickly dried out but left no blisters, rubbing, or uncomfortable feelings at all on my feet or toes anywhere! I have a lot of issues with my feet, but these water shoes came through for me!I always wear a size 7 (1ft 6.5 other 7) the 1st pair I ordered a 7 they were way to big (wish I took a picture) sent back.I had at least 1.5" in the toe area extra. 2nd pair I ordered a 6.5 glad I did- perfect fit & comfortable for 10 day wear everywhere land& water in Hawaii.LOVE IT! wear them to travel - so light! wear them shopping - so light! wear them walking - so light! wear them out and about - so light! oh yeah and they make for great water shoes at the beach too! :) REALLLLY just wish they came in size 12 as 11's are a little snug at the toe.I wear a size 10 typcially and the shoe fits so that my toe was just barely touching the front of the shoe but to me that is good so they will not come of easily in water. They are very nice looking-kind of like a sneaker-and worked very well while swimming and walking in a lake and had nice traction on a boat. Highly recommendedGreat water shoes . Haven't gotten to test them out in water yet as I bought for an upcoming Cruise. But they feel like lightweight sneakers and can definitely see walking in them with no issues. Can't wait to wear them on vacayGreat for my aquafitness class, particularly when we are moving around the pool. I ordered my normal shoe size, but should have sized down as my normal shoes are a bit big to fit my orthotics. Dries quickly, but probably want a second pair if you have aquafitness on sequential days.Love them, thankyou!
