This Is definitely Rose Royce at their worst. Footage as such should have never been released publicly. This DVD doesn't In anyway heighten the career of such superstars. It only serves to leave a bad taste In the mouths of fans of their era. And for any newbies that may have heard the soundtracks or watched the old Car Wash movie, you will never know by watching this DVD what this group was actually like In the 70's, 80's.I was fortunate enough to have seen this group live In their prime, and this Is only a relict of what they were. ObviouslyKenny Copeland (Trumpet) Is the soul survivor of this group. Not one of the other original members appear with him In this lineup. This band doesn't have the flair, fury nor sting of Rose RoycePast. Basically, this Is Kenny Copeland and any house-band-usaperforming Rose Royce songs. However, I have to credit the bassplayer...He seems to hold the solid and recognizable line throughout every song.In reply to the above reviewers notes about the female vocalistbeing one of the original,(No) she's not. Her name Is Richee Benson and I must say she holds her own, but In comparison to original female vocalist Gwen Dickie, she's definitely no match. The stage appears far too dark with only a few front floods thatnever seem to move or flow with the music. Although this footage was shot In some theatre In the UK In 1993, It gives the appearance of some elementary school auditorium. So amateurish, Kenny & Richee pass one vocal mic off to eachother as they change positions on stage. The audience neverreally seems to connect with the group until they are coached tostand up on the final song (Car Wash)If you are a die-hard fan and are In need of live footage, this Is probably the only thing available at the momemt. Try your bestto find this at a used or reduced price. That way you won't betoo disappointed when you're done viewing It. Good luck!Song List: 1. Is It Love You're After 2. I'm In Love 3.
